So you may remember that a few weeks back I posted about recovering my dining room chairs. Well, the process has begun! I picked up the fabric yesterday and this morning my friend Shanna came over (with her sweet baby Zoe) to help me get started. I would have been a hot mess without her expertise, as she has a ton more experience with fabric and such.
We cut all of the fabric and finished two chairs today. It's definitely a four-hand job, as you have to keep the fabric in place while you staple gun it to the underside of the chair pad. So, I'll be completing the project slooowly...over the course of the week, whenever I can wrangle up another pair of hands to help.
I LOVE the fabric I chose. It's hard to see in the photo above, but it's an apple green with a somewhat clover-shaped pattern in white. My only concern is that it will show dirt easily, but it's stain treated and I'm going to cover two of the chairs with a layer of vinyl (those will be the boys seats, of course) so I'm not too worried.
Finished project photos to come!
