I had big plans to upload photos to my computer off of the new camera and do a picture-laden post of our holidays.
But alas, the computer password eludes me and I can't reach Paul at work to ask him...not to mention the stirrings of two little ones who won't nap much longer.
So here is my measly little no-picture-post. Enjoy!
My resolutions for this New Year, 2012. (As an aside, I prefer even-numbered years. Just seems more, I don't know, right. Both my babies were born in even-numbered years. If we have a third, there's a chance it would be born in an odd-numbered year. I'm not sure what to do with that thought.)
So anyway, in this year I resolve to
*Knit more. I know that was a resolution last year, but I really do. And knit other things besides baby booties. The problem is, I only ever knit for people these days, so some of the fun has gone out of it if you know what I mean. I may have to take a break from the booties and do something fun and different to rekindle my love of the needles.
*Go to bed earlier. As I've mentioned before, I get up at '0-dark-thirty aka the butt-crack of dawn to exercise. Basically if I want to work out I need to do it before Paul leaves for work. We can't afford childcare at the gym and that just seems like it would take up to big of a chunk of my day if I were to wait until the boys were up and ready. So that means I'm climbing in my car at 5, 5:30 most mornings. When I get home it's hit the ground running time so that I can be ready when the boys are up. All that to say that my current trend of bedtime at 11 or even *gasp* midnight has got to stop. I'd like to stop falling asleep on the couch and have a proper bedtime routine that ends with me reading a few chapters of a book without falling asleep in the middle of it. So, like 9 or 9:30. Tonight is my trial run!
*Run a marathon! Well, actually, a half marathon. Any and all tips on how to prepare for this are welcome.
So there they are. Not too many, and pretty tangible and attainable I think! Not too much of a buzzkill with any of them, either, as resolutions are known for being. Wish me luck!
