Nutcracker

Last Thursday Ian and I had a date.

Through our homeschool group, we got tickets to see the Atlanta Ballet perform a special "kid oriented" performance of the Nutcracker. Kid oriented meaning that it wasn't nearly as long as the original version. I say that sounds just about perfect when you're talking about a 3 year old!

I bet, though, that he could have made it through a longer performance. Ian sat riveted...and I mean riveted...taking in every last detail. It was so much fun to see him get over-the-top excited...especially about the Rat King, and the sword-wielding boy, and the Russian Dancers...his favorite parts.

I think he loved having a special day that was just for him...we had hot chocolate and blueberry muffins at Rev before heading to the Fox.

Very patiently waiting for the show to begin.

All the "princesses", as Ian kept referring to them.

PERFECT for Ian!!! I know he would enjoy the ice skating on NBC Jan 1st, Jan 8th, Jan 15th, and Feb 4th as well! Tune it in for him. I believe that Ian will grow up to be very appreciative of the arts! Love, Gramma
